Requirements for Adults Ages 18-24:
1. Valid Texas Learner License
**Temporary paper permit is accepted while valid (expiration is found above the picture of temporary permit).
2. Proof of Completion of Adult Driver’s Ed
**Proof of Adult Driver’s ed must be provided at time of appointment. Paper and digital copies are accepted.
**If you are 18 or older and did a Teen Driver’s Ed course, teen road test requirements are to be followed. CLICK HERE to return to teen requirements.
3. Impact Texas Young Drivers Certificate (ITYD)
**Certificate must not be expired. This is a free service provided by the DPS. To register for it CLICK HERE.
